- Texas A&M University 2004 BS in Computer Engineering
- Johns Hopkins University 2008 MS in Information Systems and Technology
- 2009 to present: Small business health insurance broker/consultant at Abbot Benefits Group (I made a career change to join the family business but have used my software background to enhance our internal systems, tools, and operations).
- 2004 – 2009: Software developer and analyst at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory
I lead the AWANA T&T boys weekly club (boys in 3rd through 6th grade) at our church (Tomball Bible Church) which is focused on memorizing Bible verses and learning Bible lessons. I teach Sunday School to 3rd-4th graders at Tomball Bible Church, and I was previously a soccer coach on my kids YMCA team.
I’ve been married to wife, Susanne, since 2007. We have 7 kids ages 1 through 13 that keep us very busy but we love it. I grew up in this area and other than 5 years after college where I lived and worked in Maryland, I have always lived in this area. Kids are active in soccer and student ministry activities.
Why I Love My Job
I’m passionate about building trusted relationships with my clients. Very focused on learning their needs and finding the solutions that are best for them – even if it is a solution that I cannot provide myself. Long term relationships are much more valuable to me than trying to make a sale. I think our business has been successful because of the trust level and our dedication to servicing our clients. I’m also a nerd. I enjoy numbers, details, spreadsheets, graphs, finding ways to continually improve our processes, making things more efficient, and making our services better for our clients.
